Enhancing Tourism Experience in Wassenaar: Continued Partnership for Providing Information

Gemeente Wassenaar and Bibliotheek Voorschoten-Wassenaar are set to further enhance the tourism experience in the region through their renewed collaboration. This year marks another milestone as the Tourist Information Point (TIP), an official VVV office, remains situated in the Langstraat building, a convenient hub for tourists and leisure seekers.

Empowering Visitors with Information

The TIP serves as an invaluable resource for anyone exploring Wassenaar, offering not just guidance but also comprehensive insights into the town and recreational opportunities within the vicinity. With the new partnership agreement in place, the TIP will continue to be a trusted location at Langstraat until 2025, catering to tourists and day-trippers seeking all the necessary details about Wassenaar and its surroundings.

Laurens van Doeveren's Perspective

Laurens van Doeveren, the Councilor for Economic Affairs, emphasized the significance of the TIP located within the library. He highlighted that visitors can discover the full extent of the tourism and recreational offerings in Wassenaar, including information on events, activities, and hidden gems. The TIP provides access to walking, cycling, and boating maps, tourist guides, VVV gift cards, and much more, enhancing visitors' experiences and encouraging them to explore, return, and share their adventures.

Background of the Collaboration

The previous partnership between the Wassenaar municipality and the Bibliotheek Voorschoten-Wassenaar concluded on December 31, 2024. This collaboration involved the municipalities of Wassenaar and Voorschoten, the library, and the VoorWaar foundation. In June 2024, there was an expressed intention to extend the collaboration between the library and the Wassenaar municipality by a year. Following approval from the Mayor and Aldermen, the agreement was officially signed on Wednesday, February 19.
